April Bliss McDaniel

April is a Senior Interior Designer. She has 10 years of blended design experience working with a local Baltimore commercial furniture dealer and residential work. She brings a wealth of knowledge and unique perspective on collaborative and communal space design trends that are currently driving innovation in the industry.

April loves architecture, furniture and textiles. In her free time, April enjoys traveling with her husband, especially exploring US National Parks, attending concerts and music festivals, reading up on the latest design trends and kayaking.

AJ Hannon

AJ joined the Arium team in May 2011 and is well versed in the design of HVAC and plumbing for a multitude of applications including, but not limited to, commercial office, SCIF, retail, industrial, data centers, restaurants, and educational.

His engineering approach is systematic, but tailored to meet each individual project’s specific needs. While also focusing on building systems as a whole, he is able to obtain an all-inclusive, elegant design that is user friendly and balances cost-effectiveness and energy consciousness.

AJ enjoys spending free time in the summer on the Chesapeake Bay, fishing and wakeboarding, and in the winter hitting the slopes on his snowboard. He enjoys the beach and maintains a health-conscious lifestyle. AJ is a big fan of the Ravens and the South Carolina Gamecocks football. Go Gamecocks!!

Adrienne Adams

Adrienne is an Architectural Designer at Arium and assists the architectural team across all phases of design.

She received her BA in Interior Design at Virginia Commonwealth University and has also been a fine art painter since her teenage years.

Adrienne wants her designs to tell the story of the occupants, and to be an immersive and sensory experience. She believes everybody’s experiences matter and one of the best ways to honor that is through design.

Outside of the office, Adrienne enjoys baking, working out, yoga, roadtrips, Minecraft, as well as watching bad movies.

Cynthia Stuber

Cynthia joined the Arium team as Marketing Director in June of 2021. Cynthia leads Arium’s multi-channel marketing efforts and aids in project pursuits. She works closely with the Principals to support the firm’s continued growth and dedication to its growing base of repeat clients.

Cynthia has spent the last 25 years in the marketing industry promoting professional services, with the past nine years specialization in Architecture & Engineering. With a background in design, she brings to Arium an extensive knowledge in brand development and marketing strategy. Cynthia recently served on the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Maryland Board of Directors and is currently supporting SMPS’ national programming needs on the 50th Anniversary Task Force.

Cynthia is a proud alumnus of Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, the first and only historically visual arts college for women in the nation. She enjoys creating art in her spare time, such as painting, crafting, and jewelry making. Cynthia also lends her creative talents to her local church in support of various outreach programs. Married to a designer, with one teenager and two dogs, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Bill Gnagey

Bill has a dual position at Arium. As Business Development Director, Bill promotes Arium’s capabilities as the firm continues to expand across the Mid-Atlantic region. As a Senior Associate, he utilizes his two decades of industry experience and client relations to manage projects for a repeat client base.

For the past 16 years at the firm, Bill has used his diverse background in architectural design, construction, and business development to grow and maintain a loyal and significant client base. Bill has focused his career on building strong client relationships and ensuring the highest level of satisfaction from project inception through completion. His portfolio consists of a wide range of project types, including program-driven design in commercial offices, corporate headquarters, public space renovation, retail development, industrial facilities, SCIF design, higher education, and public sector infrastructure.

Bill lives in Ellicott City, Maryland, and has family in both the Baltimore and Pittsburgh areas. He enjoys spending his free time with his two children, John and Ella, traveling with his family to historical sites, and cheering for his favorite sports teams (at risk of losing clients he will refrain from declaring specifics).

Robin Sanders

Robin’s tenure at Arium goes all the way back to the beginning of Arium’s history. With a special penchant for interior architecture and space planning, Robin singlehandedly created the interior design division, adding a full interior design library and a full complement of interior design services to Arium’s growing architectural practice. Her approach to design is pragmatic, practical, and creative.

With more than 25 years of experience at Arium, her project portfolio includes a complete gamut of commercial, government, SCIF, medical, retail, hospitality, educational, and industrial facilities. Her expertise in the design requirements for ADA, green design, LEED, building codes, and life safety codes has kept clients returning project after project, year after year.

In her free time Robin enjoys going to the beach and traveling with friends. She also keeps her professional skills honed by attending CSI meetings, CEU classes, and design events in the local area.
