Arium AE Selected by The Howard Hughes Corporation for Lakefront District Revitalization in Columbia, MD
We’re excited to announce that Arium AE has been selected to provide architectural and engineering services for a portion of the Lakefront District redevelopment at 10215 Wincopin Circle in Columbia, Maryland. Affectionately known as the “Exhibit Building,” this iconic two-story lakefront property has been a cornerstone of Columbia’s rich history, and we’re honored to play a role in its next chapter.
Our team will deliver comprehensive services, including surveys, demolition planning, and innovative leasing plan development and concepts, all designed to breathe new life into this landmark. We are joyed to work with The Howard Hughes Corporation to ensure this building creates a vibrant and dynamic storefront community and sets the stage for a modern, engaging public space.
The Exhibit Center Building, one of Columbia’s first buildings, is an approximately 20,000 sq. ft structure on the Columbia Lakefront. For many, the building was the first experience of Jim Rouse’s vision for Columbia because it housed exhibits that laid out the future development of the planned community. It is also one of the earliest designs from a young Frank Gehry, who is widely renowned as one of the most significant architects in the world.
